Question - “What’s a widget?”
A widget is a code that you can add to your blogs sidebar. This makes it easy for you add or remove information from your blog. Example, you want to add your alexa.com rating meter to your blog. You would take the aleax.com code, install it into a text widget. Then you just click a button to add the complete widget to the sidebar. Once this widget is installed your site aleax.com rating will show up. If you want to remove the widget you just pull it off and it’s gone. To get right down to it, it’s just a code that you can add and remove information within it with no problems. I hope I was to explain this the right way!
Blog Software
I wanted to let all my readers know what blog software I would recommend. I’m currently using WordPress Software to run this blog. I have looked at a lot of other providers out there, and no one from what I’ve researched compares to WordPress. Now, I do understand that some of you out there will disagree with me, that’s OK. I’m just given my opinion on what I think is a great program and would help a lot of you out there. Also, the great thing about WordPress, it’s free, you pay nothing. Using WordPress will also notify you of any updates, new widgets and new themes to use. All of this information comes to you through your dashboard when you login to write post, create pages and anything else you plan on doing with your blog. So go ahead and try their program out, it’s free, what do you got to lose!
Digital Frames
Here’s something I’ve recently read online, tech readers make sure you read this!
These digital photo frames pickup feeds from a website called FrameChannel.com. This website is kind of like a YouTube, but for digital photo frames. This is a startup company that is owned by Frame Media. They have a service that lets all digital frame owners to signup to receive content. They have more than 300 types of content, which includes content from the National Geographic Nature, Cartoons, and Bible related content. All this content is delivered to they’re subscriber’s frames via wireless connections.
As far as I can remember a few other big name companies like Microsoft have tried doing this in the past. As always do your research before you purchase any frames or services via the Internet
