The Federal Reserve Cuts!
Many people out there in the world including our leading economists believe the Fed will cut the key interest rate again on Wednesday. The Federal Reserve, which began this year dealing with the severe credit problems and economic problems. This may be the finale time the Fed will cut the interest rate for awhile. Everyone things the Fed will cut by a quarter-point. Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke and buddies started their second day of talks on Wednesday. Now, if the Fed does cut the rate this would be the seventh time since the central bank began battling the credit problems and the likley hood of a recession. All this has been done in a really short time. We’ll have to wait to this afternoon to see what really goes down!

U.S. Economy!
Wall Street finished some what mixed on Tuesday, because most of us traded very little. All this because of the Federal Reserve’s Wednesday decision on the interest rates. The Fed, facing a bad economy with the chance of inflation, is expected to bring down the interest rates, by how much is anyone’s quess. This will most likely be done after their done with sitting around meetings are finshed on Wednesday. Many of us ( investors) believe our sinceless policy makers will then be telling us that they’re planning to hold rates for a while. We’ve all been worried about inflation, because it means gas and food bills are harder for us to pay for. Hopefully Wall Street is also feeling the same, because inflation tends to have us stop spending our money, which we all account for more than two-thirds of all spending.
Hamid Karzai Assassination Plot
I was searching around for some good news to report and came across this story about Afghanistan - President Hamid Karzai. Just a few days ago there was an assassination plot against him, as every should know about now. Now - here is the crazy thing, he was warned ahead of time of the assassination plot against him. The Afghanistan’s intelligence chief stated this in a report on Tuesday, while he was admitting that failings by the security services allowed these crazy militants to attack. Amrullah Saleh told Parliament about what was going to happen and the chance of the plot to kill Karzai, which could have been planned last month. The crazy gunmen had rented the hotel room where they lauched the attack from. So, I ask you all – What was everyone thinking?
Continental Airlines Merger!
This just came in on Sunday - Continental Airlines Inc. stated it would not pursue a deal with another carrier at this present time. Which was a surprising move to most of us because of all this speculation that it would join with United Airlines. Which could have formed the world’s biggest airline. Continental Chairman and Chief Executive Lawrence Kellner to let all his employees know in a message that the airline would be much better off on it’s own. This is really good news for most passengers, because their ticket prices where most likely going to increase. Looks like we win for now!
