Earnhardt JR Wins!

Sunday’s race has ended a 76-race winless streak for Dale Earnhardt Jr.  Earnhardt won at Michigan International Speedway all because of his fuel strategy.  It’s almost unheard of going more than 55 laps on a two-mile oval track.  Earnhardt gave credit to his crew chief Eury of getting him to the finish line. Eury know the race was going to be extended.  So Eury had Earnhardt shut the engine off and coast whenever he had the chance to.  So, Earnhardt would build up enough speed, and then shut the engine down to start his coasting.  There were times when he would pass the pace car.  He did this until NASCAR issued a warning to have Earnhardt cut it out.  I say who cares how he won “under caution” he won, and that great for him.
