I was just reading on cnn.com that there’s a project getting underway called the Global Environment for Network Innovations, or GENI. This is a network of researchers, who will be testing new ideas without missing up the Internet, as we know it. Here’s a did you know “The Internet was started in the year 1969.” I know it was started by the U.S. Government, just didn’t know what year. Researchers also feel starting from scratch is the only way to fix all major security concerns and speed things up. Some feel the project will cost around $350 million to complete the needed work. So far they have received $12 from the National Science Foundation. These funds will go to developing prototypes for the GENI network. And the rest of the funds will be coming from, you ready for this? The United States, yes everyone is waiting for Congress to approve the funds. This just shows how much money we waist as a country. Will the unnecessary spending ever stop?

Just a few months ago I received a letter in the mail stating that my broadband speed was going to increase. I though it was just some kind of marketing thing to keep me as a customer. So I went and found a broadband speed tester to see how if this was true. And it was did on to what was stated in the letter. Brett Favre Is Back!
The NFL stated that Brett Favre has been reinstated and placed back with Green Bay Packers active roster. Brett Favre has stated that he will be flying to Green Bay on Sunday to report to camp. He will officially be able to report after 1PM EST on Monday. What will the Packers do know? I sure hope they trade him to the Minnesota Vikings. God knows my team really needs someone like Favre at quarterback.
