Community Involvement!
Have you ever thought about bringing your community together to create a community garden? Or maybe your community already as one but needs some funds and tools to get it back to where it once was. Well if so I came across a great idea you just might want to take a look at. There’s a lot of buzz going around about the Project Orange Thumb grant, which can provide you and your community with the tools to get your garden project started. The only thing you need to do is apply for it. Just simply click on the link that I have provided and it will take you right to it. You must hurry though; the application deadline is February 17th, 2009.

Now, if you’re awarded the grant you will receive up to $800 in green goods and up to $1,500 in Fiskars gardening tools. If you ask me I think that’s enough cash and tools to help you and neighbors get the job done. And just think how much beautification it will bring to your neighborhood. When community gardens start popping up it just makes your area a much better place to live. So don’t pass this chance up to make your community a better place to live, apply today.

The U.S. Presidents Club!
Today President-elect Barack Obama was invited to the Oval Office to meet with the current President of the United States and all surviving U.S. Presidents. This is an extraordinary event to see all U.S. Presidents in the White House. President-elect Barack Obama had thanked President George W. Bush for hosting the event. In case if you forgot, the other U.S. Presidents that where there are, President George H.W. Bush, President Bill Clinton and President Jimmy Carter, who all stood for a photo in the Oval Office. I wonder how Obama fault standing with all U.S. Presidents next to him. I sure hope Obama is asking a lot of questions, because he can get a lot great advise out of those men standing next to him.

Anyway, after the short meeting all the U.S. Presidents and President-elect Barack Obama went to a private lunch. How would you like to have lunch with this group? I would have no clue what to even say, and if I did have something to say wouldn’t be able to get it out. I’m sure I’m not alone in making a statement like that. Better yet, what do a group of U.S. Presidents talk about? Just to be able to listen in would be pretty neat for me. I bet there just like anyone else when there are no media around, they have to be. I would like to end with, Obama, get your pen and paper out and take notes, because you’re going to need it.
More Fun Games!
I have some more fun ideas for all you parents out there. Well the fun isn’t really for you; it’s for your kids. But what will make it fun for you is that it’s safe and completely free to join and play. The site your kids will visit and play everyday on is ActionAllStars.com. And there not alone, they have partnered with MLB.com, NBA.com and ConnectSafetly.org, just to name a few. Now I can only tell you a little about the site. And the reason for that is, when I went to join tonight I went through all the easy steps to join and got an error message. That error message I received was a time out one that read “Error connecting to server. Please try again later”. I tried a few times later and they still seemed to be having a problem. But I’m sure their working on the problem and will have it up and working in no time. I will be back to try the game and will give everyone an update on how it went. I did want to say before I ended this post that I did really like the steps you have to take when joining. Things like if you child was joining their required to enter their parents email address. And they have great safe chat features in place. So check them out when you get a chance, and make sure you check my avatar out “Action34”.
