Letterman’s Apology!
One Monday night’s late night show David Letterman apologized to Gov. Sarah Palin for the joke about her daughter. And in a statement released by Gov. Sarah Palin stated that she has accepted the apology “on behalf of all young women, like my daughters, who hope men who `joke’ about public displays of sexual exploitation of girls will soon evolve.” Letterman’s apology came a few days after he tried to play down the joke, which failed. So that’s why he came straight out and just apologized. Hopefully he’ll research the joke’s put in front of him more often. After all the chances that he wrote the joke is very low. And if he did shame on him, if he didn’t hopefully they released the writer that did write it.
Guantanamo Bay!
The U.S. are bringing in the Guantanamo Bay detainee’s one by one. I say this because the Justice Department just flow in Guantanamo Bay detainee Ahmed Ghailani to face trial. This is the guy that took part in the bombing of the U.S. embassies in Tanzania and Kenya. He also took part in the murdering of 224 people resulting from the bombings. This is a bad move by the Justice Department. This is all part of President Obama’s plan in getting the Guantanamo Bay camp shut down. He’s testing us, Obama is. He want’s to see what happens to his rating for allow this transfer. House Minority Leader John Boehner, R-Ohio said it best. He stated “the first step in the Democrats’ plan to import terrorists into America,” which he is 100 percent right. I sure hope the American people put their feet down and call for President Obama to stop this. We fight to keep our land safe, now we’re bringing these really bad people to our land on our dime, what’s wrong with this?
Wal-Mart Pays!
Today I was reading that Wal-Mart had agreed to pay nearly $2 million and improve safety in their 92 New York stores to avoid being prosecuted in the trampling death of a temporary worker during the Thanksgiving Day sale. The charges against Wal-Mart would have been criminal charges. From what I was reading if they would have been convicted of these charges they would have only had to pay a $10,000 fine. So why did they agree to pay almost $2 million in donations and crowed control procedures? I’ll tell you what I think, lawsuits, a criminal conviction would result to millions if they where found guilty of the negligence charges. If you ask me this is a bad idea by the county to make such an agreement with Wal-Mart. After all the county is receiving the bulk of the money, which isn’t right. It seems that the county was thinking of themselves, not the victims.
The man that was killed that day was Jdimytai (Jimmy-tree) Damour, a temporary employee for Wal-Mart. And their where a few others injured in the stampede of greed, that’s what I call it. I hope his family and the others injured sticks to their lawsuits against Wal-Mart, the county and others for what has happened to them. I also think that the people in that crowed should also be charged, after all Wal-Mart has video feeds on all their front doors. But mostly Wal-Mart should shoulder the blame and should have been charge for it. That’s my view on this!
Hijacked U.S. Flagged Ship!
In the early morning hours of today an U.S. flagged ship was hijacked by Somali pirates. Shortly after they took over the vessel they we’re leaving it with a hostage, which isn’t a good idea. The crew member believed to be taken is the ships Captain. The U.S. Government needs to hunt these pirates down and kill them all. Hijacking ships need to stop, and we (America) need to stop them now. They took an American, the U.S. Government needs to take care of our own. What I think, which is my guess is that once they realized that they we’re on a U.S. vessel they better get off. And getting off the vessel was a good idea, because the U.S. Government was sending American warships to the area. I’m not 100 percent sure but I think they we’re long gone by time the warships got there. If they we’re there when the warships arrived they would have all been killed. If we do nothing they will be back hijacking ships, we need to hunt them down and take care of them.
